Shooting Investigation

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On Saturday, April 18, 2020, at 7:27 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Wildwood Drive in reference to reports of shots being fired.

 

Minutes later, officers were dispatched to a car crash on Ireland Drive near Raeford Rd involving a male subject that had been involved in the shooting. The male subject was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest and leg. The male subject was transported to a local hospital, and is listed in stable condition.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed two vehicles had been shooting at each other and then fled the area. Aggravated assault detectives have assumed the investigation.
