Shooting Investigation


(Fayetteville, NC) – On Friday, April 24, 2020, at approximately 11:44 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to a residence along the 6400 block of Applecross Avenue reference a report of a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene and located two (2) victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers summoned medical personnel to the scene and both victims were transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. One victim sustained life-threatening injuries, the other victim has non-life-threatening injuries.   

The identity of both victims is currently being withheld.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department are actively investigating the shooting and request anyone with information to contact them.

The Fayetteville / Cumberland County Crimestoppers program is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information submitted to Crimestoppers that leads to an arrest.
