Homicide Investigation

 

           

(Fayetteville, NC) – On April 27, 2020, at 8:47 am, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to reports of a shooting along the 900 block of Isaac Dock Drive.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed there was a domestic disturbance between a father (suspect, 80 years of age) and a son (victim, 53 years of age). The disturbance resulted in a shot being fired at the victim’s chest. He was pronounced deceased on scene.

 

Identification of all individuals are currently being withheld.

 

Homicide detectives are currently on scene and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
