Detectives Seek Assistance Identifying Robbery Suspects

 

(Fayetteville, NC) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Robbery unit are seeking the public’s assistance identifying two suspects in connection with two business robberies on April 26, 2020 and May 9, 2020 at the Speedway located along the 2800 block of Owen Drive.

 

On April 26, 2020, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Speedway located along the 2800 block of Owen Drive at approximately 11:45 pm in reference to a reported robbery.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect entered the business, implied he had a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect was able to leave the business with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was last seen leaving the scene on foot toward Gillespie Street/Joseph Street area.

The suspect is described as:

  • Light skin male
  • Early 20’s to Late 20’s
  • Wearing
    • Dark blue hoodie
    • Light colored pants
    • Light blue face mask

 

 

On May 9, 2020, at approximately 1:32 am officer with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Speedway in reference a reported business robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed two suspects entered the business, one approached the clerk while the other held the door open. The suspect who approached the clerk implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk.

 

The clerk complied and the suspects left the business with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both suspects were last seen running toward the area of Joseph Street behind the business. Detectives believe the suspects either frequent or live in the Massey Hill neighborhood or the Joseph Street area.

Suspect (1) is described as a:

  • Black male
  • Approximately 5’8” – 5’9”
  • Heavy Set
  • Wearing
    • Turquoise button up jersey
    • Black pants
    • Blue cloth face mask

Suspect (2) who held open the door is described as:

  • Light Skinned Male
  • Approximately 6’0” tall
  • Slim build
  • Wearing
    • Black hoodie
    • Black sweat pants
    • Blue cloth face mask

 

 

Detectives believe the suspect from the April robbery and “Suspect 2” from the May robbery are the same person.
